Tasks & responsibilities

• To ensure the Company and employees are observing latest rules & regulation in Malaysia (OSHA Act, Factory and Machinery act, etc.).
• To improve effectiveness, efficiency, and cost management for the Mission.
• To collect latest information of related laws, and report them to the Company.
• 5S Leader of company.
• To make and review safety rules and manuals in the Company.
• To educate and train employees and ensure rules are observed.
• To monitor and analyze latest situation of our Company, and report it to management.
• To hold safety committee meeting and follow up issues discussed.
• Correspond with related authorities, audit, inspection etc.
• To identify, review, plan, monitor, improve and actions on Safety Working Instructions in each working place; Hazardous Locations in the factory; Crane and Machinery operation; Emergency Response rules and guidelines; Schedule Wastes management; Chemical Handling; Employees Health monitoring and advisory; Safety Gear supply and management; Facility under license or approval by authorities; Safety guidance to Venders and Transportation; Fire Prevention; Any risk information which may lead to difficulty in operation; Awards and Disciplinary procedures.
• Others task as assigned by superior.

Qualifications & experience

• At least 3 years relevant working experiences, preferably in the steel industry.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office application.
• Experience in establishing quality control plan, standard operating procedure and work instruction.
• Responsible, matured, strict, result-oriented and able to work independently.
• Good interpersonal and communications skill, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety Health & Environment or equivalent.
• Possess a valid Green Book from DOSH.
