Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the operations team, ensuring strict adherence to regulations set by airlines, airports, ports, and other applicable authorities.
- Oversee the production, packaging, and distribution of catering products according to established DO & CO standards and schedules.
- Strategically plan, forecast, schedule, and effectively communicate production requirements.
- Lead and manage all operational teams. Assign tasks, provide training, and ensure a safe and productive working environment.
- Provide supervision, motivation, and assistance to a sizable team to optimize performance.
- Evaluate, strengthen, and enforce policies while ensuring compliance with safety measures.
- Guarantee adherence to OSHA compliance, Safe Program, and DOT standards/training.
- Enforce and monitor adherence to safety protocols and industrial hygiene standards.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that all products meet or exceed industry and company standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Monitor and analyze transportation costs, generating relevant reports as per management requests.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
- Minimum 3-4 years of managerial experience within an operations or logistics environment.
- Preferred experience in a similar role or with airside, aviation, and/or FMCG.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and diligence, exhibiting a keen attention to detail and a commitment to follow through on tasks.
- Ability to work independently and in a team sitting.
- Capable of thriving in a dynamic and fast-paced setting, adept at providing hands-on support to meet the diverse needs of our clientele.
- Demonstrates the ability to efficiently complete assigned tasks within stipulated timelines, ensuring adherence to strict deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills; preferred in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Flexibility to work different shifts; including nights, weekends, holidays.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Expected salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually.
