Production of communication products on gender statistics and data
FULL TIME
October 17, 2024
- Background:
In partnership with the European Union, UN Women implements a programme aiming at supporting the integration of gender in the production and analysis of gender sensitive statistics. This project will contribute to these efforts by: (i) strengthening the technical capacity of the HCP in gender integration; (ii) enriching knowledge on gender inequalities; and (iii) widely disseminating gender analyses to support public policies and monitor Morocco's commitments to gender equality and the achievement of the SDGs.
To promote the use of data and advocacy within this program, UN Women Morocco carries out various communications, visibility, and advocacy activities. These activities include organizing events, law advocacy, and training, alongside the production, editing, and dissemination of documents. UN Women Morocco supports the development of materials such as policy briefs, reference documents, infographics, digital platforms, and audiovisual content to facilitate access to gender-sensitive data through various dissemination platforms, including social media. This is done to inform decision-makers and the general public.
The communication strategy targets producers and users of gender-sensitive statistics, academics, organized civil society, and citizens. Its main goals are to enhance communication between stakeholders, spread the knowledge produced within the program’s framework, raise awareness of the academic and civil society organizations’ (CSOs) roles in data analysis and advocacy, and inform the public about the importance of gender-sensitive statistics in monitoring and evaluating public policies aimed at addressing gender inequalities.
The communication for this project will focus on the intermediate and final results achieved through the partnership, as well as the commitments made by each partner to realize these outcomes. The communication plan will contribute to strengthening the accountability of each stakeholder towards their respective beneficiaries.
In this context, UN Women, in partnership with the High Commission for Planning (HCP), seeks to recruit an expert to develop user-friendly and interactive dissemination materials.
