Property Risk Engineer

What you do

Undertake desktop risk assessment on loss control topics as part of risk management programme in-line with global guidelines.
Delivering concise, high quality, objective views of risk in a timely manner. This includes accurate loss expectancies, assessments of account exposures, control adequacy, risk grading, and appropriate recommendations and/or service plans
Developing technically based risk management recommendations, providing insights, analysis, and best engineering judgement to determine likelihood of impact to loss mitigation and working with concerned stakeholders to improve overall account risk quality.
Undertake any other duties and responsibilities relating to department’s function and objectives as may be directed by the superior from time to time.
Contribute to thought leadership and technical insight delivered to customers, business partners and colleagues through events, communications, and other publications.

What you bring

2 to 7 years’ in loss prevention consulting experience or working with fire protection systems (designing, review & commissioning).
Experience in mfg. or process industries or hazards (Nat-Cat, BI/IBI/CBI/supply chain, emerging risks) is a plus.
Experience in the insurance industry is a plus – being able to talk the language of property insurance as well as loss prevention/fire protection, including Nat-Cat, loss estimates, sprinklers/water supplies, construction, etc.
Strong familiarity with Fire Protection guidelines, such as NFPA or FM Global.
Commitment to maintaining knowledge of developments and new technologies in this field.
Ability to understand and apply technical loss control topics.
