About you and this role

Dow is hiring a Maintenance Engineer in Terneuzen, Netherlands. As maintenance engineer you will be supporting our plastics facilities, where a lot of exciting (high pressure) equipment is installed.

You will address plant issues impacting production, provide technical expertise on equipment and repair techniques to ensure facility availability and maintainability.

Responsibilities

Grow as an expert in equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
Develop maintenance operating discipline.
Provide technical expertise on troubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating equipment design.
Ensure work requests include engineering input on repair details and provide technical support for critical equipment.
Document repairs, repair techniques, and equipment-specific training.
Provide maintainability input to projects.
Support preventive maintenance coordinator in reviewing spare parts list.
Enter quality, service, and equipment performance information into the reporting system.
Provide engineering input for work packages and turnaround work, especially for critical equipment.
Complete EH&S orientation and training, exhibit safe work behaviours, and fulfill EH&S requirements.
Use maintenance spending, reliability, and maintenance metrics for assigned areas.
Analyse equipment failures' impact on maintenance spending to identify improvement opportunities.

Initiate and implement reliability-related changes, understanding Long Term Cost of Ownership.

Qualifications

A Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or Industrial engineer.
Less than 3 years of professional working experience
Proficiency in Dutch is a plus.
