Your responsibilities

You will join our Corporate Communication & Governmental Relations team in the Netherlands and will work as a junior internal communications officer. Of course we have work planned for you, but we also love your own initiatives and ideas. Your primary focus will be on our Maasvlakte site. One of the concrete tasks for internal communication is providing knowledge about the implementation of our company strategy and how the site will transform towards a greener future, and the perspective we want to offer to employees at this site in both the current transition phase and in the future.
You will design, write and edit content for the intranet and other channels for internal communication. You will also design, write and edit other materials such as posters or recordings. Furthermore, you will support the organisation of gatherings such as our internal ‘canteen sessions’ and prepare speeches and presentation material.
Our platforms are in full development, so we expect you to think along with us about the opportunities and possibilities that exist. You will be supervised by our Corporate Communication & Governmental Relations department. This department is also responsible for (press) spokesperson and lobbying activities, which you will pick up on for internal communication purposes.

• You study communication or a study directly related to communication
• You have excellent written and verbal communication
• You have a good command of the Dutch language
• You have a good command of the English language
• You are independent, proactive, flexible and creative
• You are innovative, resourceful, and offer new ideas
• You can work with design tools
• You have an interest in politics and media
• Availability on site (Rotterdam-Capelle 2 days a week, Maasvlakt 1 day a week)
• Driver's license
• Proactive attitude
