Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join our finance team. If you have a strong foundation in IFRS, preferably experience with SAP and HFM, and an eagerness to expand your expertise in the emerging field of ESG reporting, this role could be an ideal fit for you. As part of our team, you'll play a key role in enhancing financial transparency, supporting regulatory compliance, and contributing to sustainable business practices through ESG.

Your key responsibilities are:
Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS standards combined with analyzing the financial performance of the company. Generate actionable insights from financial and ESG data as part of the Monthly Business Review reporting cycle that is presented to senior management and stakeholders.

General Ledger and Reconciliation: Oversee general ledger entries and reconcile accounts, contributing to month-end and year-end closings.

Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal controls; coordinate with external auditors to address audit requirements within different jurisdictions of the OCI Nitrogen Group.

ESG Reporting Development: In a cross-functional collaboration with different teams across the company, you will coordinate and collect, analyze, and report the ESG data and assist in developing ESG frameworks to meet emerging reporting standards.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement improvements with regards to process, data reliability, efficiency within the financial reporting and ESG data management.

Who are we looking for

You have attained a ay least a Bachelor’s but preferably a Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 5 – 7 years of experience in a similar role with extensive knowledge of financial administration, IFRS reporting and analysis. CPA or equivalent is a plus.

Next to being an expert in IFRS accounting and Dutch regulatory requirements, you are keen and eager to develop ESG reporting capabilities. You have experience audit processes (internal and external) and compliance, with strong attention to regulatory detail.

You have proficient knowledge and skills of SAP (ECC, BW, BPC) and Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) for financial reporting, along with MS Excel. Experience with lease accounting and ESG data tools is an advantage.

You are a self-starter who works independently and has a drive delivery focus. You have a critical attitude with strong analytical skills and you are able to manage multiple tasks, resources and deadlines independently and efficiently. You are able to work with complex data, draw insights, and communicate findings effectively (Dutch and English, verbal and written).

This role requires not only technical knowledge and experience but also a strong motivation to adapt to changing requirements of sustainability reporting and internal financial standards.
