Working closely with our strong technical team of experts and managers, both regionally and globally, this role will require exceptional leadership qualities to deliver the strategic packaging agenda, ESG and innovation roadmap, ensuring Flora Food Group continues to be at the forefront of packaging innovation.
This role will deploy the global and AMEA / LATAM regional packaging strategy across our portfolio. You will be part of creating the strategy of the future of packaging, which will significantly contribute to the overall success of the Packaging R&D function.
In this role, you will inject passion and bring strong initiative to make a huge positive impact to the way packaging delivers and innovates on both short and long-term business goals, aligned with the sustainability roadmap. You will be encouraged to bring new insights, approaches and innovative technologies to the business to further strengthen the packaging function, given it is widely acknowledged at Board level that packaging is a critical strategic growth enabler for Flora Food Group brand portfolio, as well as the overall business.
You will:

• Create the vision of the future for packaging, to support the next steps of the packaging roadmap for Flora Food Group.
• Manage the agreed packaging projects which will devise and deliver the global and regional packaging roadmap.
• Work in partnership with a wide range of internal partners; Marketing, Supply Chain, Procurement, R&D, ESG and Quality teams along with key external partners globally, to effectively drive the packaging projects and create a roadmap for the future of packaging at Flora Food Group.

So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
You are an experienced and passionate leader in Packaging R&D, with more than 10 years expertise in the field, particularly within FMCG.
You have a Bachelor's degree and a proven ability to work autonomously in a managerial role, effectively communicating with all areas of the business, including marketing and supply chain, linking teams, and collaborating with various regions.
Your entrepreneurial spirit drives you to explore new and uncharted territories, embracing change and challenges with an unconventional and innovative mindset.
You have demonstrated skill in managing packaging and product innovation, identifying and delivering impactful business and consumer-optimized structural and functional packaging solutions.
Your experience includes overseeing packaging products in the market, maintaining and growing existing businesses, and driving productivity and cost optimization. With a deep understanding of the product development process, you adeptly manage key partners, such as design and engineering consultancies, toolmakers, and material converters.
You balance consumer and brand needs with the commercial business's rational requirements and the technical constraints of manufacturing processes.
Your expansive breadth of understanding and passion for all areas of packaging, from trends and creative innovation to execution and maintenance, make you an invaluable asset to any team.
