Senior Data Analyst Credit Risk

Your role
For one of the key strategic projects (‘MORSE’) in the domain of Residential Mortgages, we are looking for a Senior Data Analyst Credit Risk. To support this business initiative, a separate team is being set-up to assess the impact on the various credit risk processes and systems to ensure continuity from a modeling and reporting
perspective.
As a Senior Data Analyst Credit Risk, you will play a pivotal role in a large-scale strategic project focused on the seamless transition of an outsourced replacement for the COBOL mortgage provisioning system. This project is critical for ensuring continuity and compliance within ING's credit risk domain.
Your key responsibilities include:
Data Analysis and Modeling:
- Analyze and design physical models across various stages of the data pipeline.
- Oversee data ingestion, warehouse mapping, and data mart creation to ensure high-quality data consumption.
- Assess the impact of replacing the COBOL mortgage provisioning system on credit risk processes and systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee a smooth transition without disrupting risk calculations or reporting.
- Maintain and optimize applications in the Data Lake, leveraging Oracle Exadata for peak performance.
- Ensure all data processes meet ING's Data Management Process Control Standards.
- Provide evidence of compliance to internal and external stakeholders.
Your profile
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of data and credit risk.
Specifically, you bring:
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with large databases in financial services (credit risk experience preferred).
- Expertise in data warehouse concepts, data modeling techniques, and BI tools (SAS, SQL Developer).
- Ability to script automated solutions and optimize data processes to reduce processing time and storage requirements.
- Experience in system transitions, particularly within the context of outsourced IT solutions or legacy system replacements.
- Understanding of credit risk concepts like Risk-Weighted Assets and Expected Loss (preferred).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to thrive in a diverse and dynamic team environment.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear user stories and technical actions.
- Resilience under pressure and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Familiarity with Agile project management principles.
What we offer:
- 12 months contract with the possibility of extension, aiming for internal employment at ING after 18 months.
- A 36 or 40 hour workweek with flexible hours and a hybrid working model (office and home-based).
- Salary range: €5.996,00 - €8.600,00 gross per month (based on 40 hours per week, excluding holiday pay, based on experience).
