Due to expansion of the logistics department WD Europe has an opening for the role of logistics assistant (planner). This is a junior role. WD Europe is looking for a motivated candidate with already some experience in the logistics field but is eager to learn more and develop their skills.
The main focus in this role is the planning of trucks. This consists of planning the trucks from terminal to the warehouse and from warehouse to the final destination. Hereby you will have close contact with third parties. For instance customs, shipping lines and trucking companies. WD Europe is looking for a candidate that has good communications skills. Communication finds place through emails, face-to-face contact and phone calls.
In this role you will have the following responsibilities:
- Overseeing the transport process
- Placing orders accordingly.
- Planning and organizing shipments
- Maintain contact with transporters and follow up on ongoing cases.
- Collaborate with the colleagues in the transport department
- Help developing processes that make it more efficient and organized and ensuring smooth processes
- Administrative tasks.

Our ideal candidate has the following requirements:
- At least some experience within the logistics field 0-3 years.
- HBO diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and in preferably in logistics software
- Proficiency in the English language (hard requirement)
- Knowledge of Chinese and/ or Dutch language is an advantage.
