Then join our team!As our Regional Medical Manager you will contribute and support the roll out of the medical strategy across the region and support colleagues within the different countries with the implementation of regional/local activities.
Additionally, you will partner cross-functionally within the MIDI region, across countries and with the global team(s) for all relevant products in the therapeutic area (TA) and externally by building scientific relations with different stakeholders.
This role is based in our office in Amsterdam and reports directly to the Medical Affairs Team Leader MIDI CRM (Cardio Renal Metabolic).
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serve as an internal medical and scientific expert for product and disease-related content for all relevant MIDI functions (incl. Marketing, Market Access, Medicine Operations, Regulatory Affairs).
- Keep track of the latest insights within the relevant therapeutic area (e.g. literature, congresses) and inform other relevant stakeholders accordingly.
- Lead and manage regional (digital) medical and scientific activities.
- Build and maintain a network with scientific and clinical experts and other healthcare professionals.
- Coach Medical Managers in the countries to efficiently manage and prioritize their local activities and projects & ensure these are executed as planned, within budget and in compliance with applicable regulations and SOPs.
- Contribute to the overall regional medical strategy for the therapeutic area.
- Lead Integrated Customer Planning (ICP) processes.
- Ensure medical projects are executed as planned, within budget and in compliance with applicable regulations and SOPs.
- Lead internal therapeutic area and product training and drive content of internal on-boarding materials. Support in the Long-Term Forecasting Processes.
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE TEAM
- Medical doctor or Master’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacology or related life science.
- Strong business acumen and strategic mindset and you enjoy cross-functional collaboration.
- Previous experience in Medical Affairs as medical manager or medical advisor in the Obesity & Liver Disease field.
- Previous experience in marketing & forecasting is preferred.
- Previous international experience within European markets is preferred.
- Excellent command of the English language.
- Outstanding presentation and communication skills to share scientific content and context to multiple audiences – both orally and in writing.
- Excellent project & change management skills.
- Results oriented, proactive & entrepreneurial.
- Ability to identify innovations that can transform customer experience and a demonstrated willingness and ability to adopt new technologies.
- Team-player with experience working in diverse teams.
