We’re looking for a proactive and ambitious Real Estate Legal Counsel to play a pivotal part in Dutch Asset Management and our Legal team. You’ll be based at our office in Amsterdam and will part of the with the multidisciplinary Dutch Asset Management team Mileway headed by our Country Director Netherlands. You will be also part of the broader Legal team which consists of a team based in UK, Luxemburg and Spain. The position is part-time (3 days a week)

What you’ll do

• Assist the Dutch team and the broader Mileway teams with legal queries as part of the day-to-day business (‘go to’ person for legal asset management queries in Dutch).
• Work on lease agreements, amendment agreements, settlement agreements and further ancillary leasing documents (including templates).
• Participate in legal negotiations with tenants on lease documentation and liaising with external law firms on leasing matters.
• Advise the Mileway Dutch team and liaise with external law firms on litigation matters.
• Assist the Mileway Dutch team on certain legal aspects of disposals and acquisitions (such as the review of NDAs, LOIs, assistance with the preparation of the VDR and Q&A).
• Manage Mileway’s exposure with local public authorities.
• Maintain and update Mileway’s legal reporting (such as the litigation tracker and other trackers requiring legal input).
• Share responsibility for ensuring the completeness of our asset documentation, taking initiative to secure any missing documents.
• Participate in the acquisition process, including overseeing due diligence and ensuring a smooth handover of essential information and documentation.
