Position: Intern - Research into Value-Based Pricing tools (Application deadline: 9th of August)
Are you a master's or last year bachelor’s student with a strong "can-do" mentality and a background in business administration? Avient Corporation is seeking an intern to research value-based pricing tools and construct a compelling business case for the optimal solution. This position supports our Protective Materials Business unit, based at our Geleen office in the Netherlands. You'll be part of a commercial team that will support you throughout the process. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated student seeking an interesting and challenging assignment.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Current Pricing Strategy Analysis: Gain a thorough understanding of our current pricing strategy, price build-up, and operational processes.
Research & Analysis: Investigate emerging technologies and market leaders in value-based pricing tools to bring our operational processes on the new level.
External Collaboration: Engage with different companies providing pricing solutions, arrange demos, and understand how their tools operate.
Stakeholder Engagement: Connect with internal stakeholders including sales, business directors, and marketing managers to understand their needs and requirements.
Scenario Building: Develop various scenarios to evaluate possible impacts on our business using potential value-based pricing tools.
Business Case Development: Construct a comprehensive business case for the most suitable value-based pricing tool.

THE IDEAL
Education: Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Proof of enrollment and contact information at the university will be required.
Financial Acumen: Strong financial capabilities with a background in finance (minor or major in bachelor’s studies). This will be required for building a comprehensive business case.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing and understanding pricing strategies and processes. Good knowledge of Excel.
Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough research into emerging pricing AI solutions and market trends.
Communication Skills: Fluent in English, both oral and written. Capable of engaging effectively with senior-level stakeholders and external vendors.
Learning Agility: Fast learner, able to quickly grasp new concepts and tools.

If you are intrigued and available for a minimum of 32 hours per week for 5 to 6 months starting from September 2024, we encourage you to submit your CV, and proof of enrollment in your master’s program before 9th of August.
