About the role
The AIR Coordinator will support timely and accurate data record related to the provision of childhood and adult immunisations.
This role will:
  • ensure that AIR provides an accurate record of immunisations and is used as an effective planning tool improve immunisation coverage
  • ensure achievement of health targets and Southern performance expectations with an equity focus.
  • ensure effective district day to day co-ordination of the AIR
You will be responsible for promoting excellence aligned to high quality administration processes and systems.

About you
You must be a team player with strong written and verbal communication skills, who has a high attention to detail. Our ideal candidate needs to be able to prioritise and juggle tasks, within demanding timeframes.
You will have at least two years administrative experience ideally within the healthcare sector. You will be an experienced administrator who works well in a team environment with the ability to foster good interpersonal relationships
Our successful applicant will have the following:
  • Administration and team lead or project coordination experience
  • Experience working in NIR or AIR and the complexity around data management
  • Excellent computer skills including sound knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and outlook
  • The ability to learn quickly
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the Te Pūkenga Here Tikanga Mahi Public Service Association (PSA) National Health Administration Workers Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Administration and Clerical Pay Scale, Band 5D between Step 1 ($74,970) and Step 3 ($77,200) per annum pro rata dependent on relevant experience.
