About the role
The Anaesthetic Technician is responsible for planning and preparing the anaesthetic environment according to patient, anaesthetic and surgical requirements.
You will also:
- assist the anaesthetist during procedures
- anticipate any problems
- coordinate documentation to ensure the appropriate person has the information required for smooth and effective care of the patient
- maintain sterile fields
- maintain adequate stocks of necessary equipment, pharmaceuticals and consumables for anaesthetic procedures.
About you
As the Anaesthetic Technician, you will be professional, motivated and enthusiastic. You will have excellent communication skills and provide an exceptional standard of care to our patients.
You will also demonstrate and have the following skills and experiences:
- Registered with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand
- Sound knowledge and understanding in relation to anaesthetic equipment and anaesthesia
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Be a team player
