The Role
As an Application Specialist you will support the development and delivery of our world class geological modelling desktop application, Leapfrog. You'll be an integral part of our Agile development team, working closely in pods and collaborating with both internal stakeholders and external customers.
You will use your geoscience knowledge and experience to ensure a best-in-class product experience for our customers. If you are a Geologist with industry experience, strong computer skills and a customer focused nature. Come join the Seequent team!
Please note this is a hybrid position to be based out of the Christchurch office
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Leverage your domain and product expertise to ensure solution quality by embodying our customer personas throughout solution discovery, ticket creation, ideation and breakdown, implementation, testing, and review.
- Enhance your software testing skills to contribute to the development of reliable, accurate, intuitive, and effective solutions.
- Utilise your creativity to produce videos to demonstrate newly developed functionality for internal use.
- Drive innovation by continually evolving our tools, documentation, and processes to meet the dynamic needs of our customers, developers, and the entire organisation.
- BSC or MSc degree in the field of geoscience or/ and 1+ years of industry experience.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience with Leapfrog is advantageous but not essential.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills and a “team-first” mindset.
- The ability to recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
