Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

• The position reports to the Attendants team leader
• We are team of 120-130 attendants.
• The role involves walking up to 15km per day, lifting items upto 10kg and pushing patients on beds or other mobility equipment.
• You need to be very fit to succeed in this role
• All attendants need to be available to work a rotating roster.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Transport of patients, blood collection, cleaning defined areas, mail sorting/deliveries, removal of rubbish and linen.
• Provide customer focused co-ordination and telephone service for the attendant team including completion of accurate data, recording and processing of requests as required.

• Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
• Excellent fitness to work in an environment with heavy physical demands including frequent walking, pushing and lifting Willingness to follow direction and carry out tasks in a timely efficient manner
• The ability to build and maintain positive respectful relationships with customers and team members
• Be reliable with an excellent attendance record
• A full NZ driver’s licence for automatic and manual vehicles is essential
• Eligibility to work in New Zealand
