Right now, we’re looking for a talented BIM Technician to join our Central team in Palmerston North!
The Role:
As a BIM Technician, you’ll play a key role in the planning, design, and coordination of our construction projects using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technologies. You will collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure the seamless delivery of accurate and efficient building designs. This is an exciting opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects while contributing to the continued success of Mc Millan & Lockwood. This is a full-time job of 45 hours a week.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain BIM models to support construction projects
• Coordinate with design and construction teams to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of BIM workflows
• Manage clash detection and resolve issues early in the design process
• Work closely with the project team to ensure BIM standards are met and maintained
• Provide technical support to the design and construction teams using BIM technologies
• Continuously explore and implement improvements to BIM processes

About You:

• Team member and communicator of all levels.
• Excellent written and oral skills.
• Pro-active accepts responsibility, and has the technical know-how.
• High standard of dress and manner.
• Ideal applicant to have a Trade certificate / Advanced Trade qualification or Bachelors degree in a field related to construction
• An excellent working knowledge of Autocad, BIM, and Revit Software
• You must have New Zealand residency or citizenship to be considered for the role.
