Since Riviera Hardware Holdings inception in 2009, where we started out with a small local Mitre 10 store in Warkworth, we have grown to b the largest group of stores within the Mitre 10 national network. We are proud to offer our customers a shopping experience like no other in New Zealand's largest hardware retail store; Mitre 10 MEGA Albany as well as New Lynn, Warkworth, Whangaparoa and Silverdale, boast Columbus Coffee shops. We also have a Distribution Centre and own our own Frame and Truss Manufacturing Plant.
Partnering with Columbus Coffee, one of New Zealand’s most recognized brands, we have a unique and successful partnership serving premium cafe food and award-winning coffees from within our Mitre 10 MEGA Stores. Our Café which is located within Mitre 10 MEGA Whangaparaoa is the hub of hustle and bustle, accompanied by the light, bright, open plan design it’s the perfect meeting spot for our local community to come together.
About the job
Competitive rate; generous staff purchase scheme at select Columbus Café’s and Mitre 10 store; no night shifts (opening hours hours are 7-4); 26 hours a week - Monday (06:30-15:00), Thursday (09:00-14:30), Friday (09:00-14:30) and Sunday (06:30-15:00). Opportunities to grow and develop within the larger team.
About the role
Our ideal staff member will be a Baker / Cook or Chef that is self-driven, experienced and have a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service with the ability to work calmly under pressure is a must.
What will you bring?
- At least a years previous baking or cooking experience, preferably in a cafe environment required.
- Understanding of FCP and H&S requirements required
- Experience working in a fast-paced café preferred, but not essential
- Flexible in availability – must be available to cover some weekends and public holidays
- Clear, strong communication skills is a must
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Most importantly a passion for providing exceptional food and beverages
- Availability to commit to a 4 day work week: Monday (06:30-15:00), Thursday (09:00-14:30), friday (09:00-14:30) and Sunday (06:30-15:00)
