Central Reservations Assistant Manager

Hind Management is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Central Reservations Assistant Manager. As a Central Reservations Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our central reservations department. You will assist the Reservations Manager in overseeing a team of reservation agents, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring that reservations are accurately recorded and efficiently processed. Your exceptional interpersonal and communication skills will be vital in providing outstanding customer service to both guests and internal stakeholders.

This is a permanent, full time role of 40 hours per week, based in Auckland Central CBD, and the annual salary is $67,000.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient operation of the central reservations department by overseeing and assisting team members.
  • Handle guest inquiries and provide information on availability, rates, and packages.
  • Process reservations accurately and in a timely manner, utilizing the property management system.
  • Monitor reservation trends and rates to maximize occupancy and revenue.
  • Assist in recruitment, training and mentoring reservation agents to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Manage, motivate and develop CRO team members
  • Address and resolve guest complaints or issues related to reservations.
  • Plan and implement after-sales services to follow up customer satisfaction
  • Create and maintain reports on reservation metrics, including occupancy and cancellation rates.
  • Continuous development and review of policies and procedures concerning our customers and services provided
Requirements
  • Candidates must already have the legal right to work in New Zealand to be considered for the role.
  • NZQF Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2) or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above.
  • Strong knowledge of reservation systems and property management systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high volumes of inquiries.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
