With our opening date set for November 2024, we’re seeking friendly checkout operators to join the team. You’ll play a key part in our journey post successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community.
Full-time & Part-time positions available
Morning and Evening shifts.
The Role:
- Provide outstanding customer service, assisting customers where needed
- Handle customer enquiries and complaints appropriately, always ensuring positive interactions
- Ensure high presentation standards for the checkout department & store
- Build relationships with the wider team and leadership to get the very best results
- We’re in it together, we look after each other, back one another, communicate effectively, and work together as one winning team, every time.
- Prove yourself in a new store and within New World which is known for its people development and career opportunities.
- You’ll be working with the latest technology, equipment, and processes.

- Be part of a 100% locally owned and operated store.
- Proven customer service experience – (previous checkout experience is desirable)
- Reliable, honest and a good team player
- People-focused with great communication skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Confidence and maturity to work unassisted at times
- Must be eligible to work in New Zealand
