Mō te tūnga - About the Role:We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Administrator to join our team. The main focus of this role is to perform transcription duties and manage patient bookings in line with Waitaha Canterbury standards and the Ministry of Health (Mo H) targets. You will receive support and guidance from the Team Leader, Service Manager, and Clinical Director/Triaging Clinician.
This position is permanent part-time working 20 hours per week, flexible with hours and days.
As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement this role has been mapped to National Band 4 steps /Profile 4A.

Essential:

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care.
• Experience with data systems and ability to quickly learn new software.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired:

• Previous experience in healthcare administration.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Familiarity with public hospital systems, including the patient management system.
