Clinical Nurse Specialist - Haematology

About the role
We have an exciting part-time, fixed-term opportunity for a senior registered nurse looking for that next step in their nursing career.
  • Provide specialist haematology nursing care and expertise both in direct care delivery, and mentoring staff so they gain haematology knowledge and skill
  • Work across the organisation acting in the roles of clinician, educator, consultant, researcher, leader/change agent and care coordinator/case manager in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes
  • This is a part-time position, and the successful applicant will work rostered days Monday to Friday between 0800 and 1700, exact times to be negotiated

About you
  • Proven clinical credibility
  • Excellent group facilitation skills and advanced communication techniques such as conflict resolution, diffusion and mediation skills
  • Organisational and time management skills, in addition to a professional can do attitude in line with our values
  • Minimum of three years practice in haematology nursing, and advanced haematology knowledge and skills
  • Either hold or be working towards post graduate qualification at a minimum of a diploma or/and a master's degree
  • Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
  • Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the DSN Pay Scale, between $116,040 and $127,674 p.a pro rata dependent on relevant experience.
