Are you seeking a role that offers real impact and meaning? Would you like to see the tangible outcome of your work, in the community, every day? At Health New Zealand, we're driving health equity for Northland, and we want you to be a part of our diverse and passionate whānau.

Health New Zealand Northland is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Māori as tāngata whenua as the highest priority.

Right now, we are looking for an exceptional leader to work with multidisciplinary teams supporting people in Whangārei and Kaipara. The Kia Tū Ngāwari mental health and addictions teams provide community services for children and young people (up to 19 years of age) and parents of very young children (0-3years), who have significant mental health, alcohol and other drug concerns. About the role

The Clinical Team Manager has direct responsibility for the day-to-day operational leadership of the Kia Tū Ngāwai five multidisciplinary teams. There is a strong focus on service co-ordination, clinical performance and service quality, creating a positive service environment, and the delivery of person-centred, culturally appropriate, integrated, quality service provision.

There is also a responsibility for human resource management, including staff recruitment, induction, training, performance management and supervision; and on financial management to ensure the cost-effective and sustainable use of resources.

About You

  • You will be a registered health professional with previous leadership experience in an allied health or nursing setting.
  • Have a minimum of seven years post-registration experience working in a clinical setting
  • Actively model and enhance teamwork and a positive team culture so that service delivery across Mental Health and Addictions Services is integrated, person centred, high quality and sustainable.

A career with Health New Zealand Northland will see you make a real difference to those in the community and hone your professional skills in your career – all whilst enjoying everything the stunning North has to offer. You really can enjoy the best of both.
