About the role
This role is an exciting opportunity to lead the scoping, pricing, and delivery of non-energy products and services to some of New Zealand's top commercial and industrial clients. In this role, you will bring your technical background and mechanical expertise to bridge the gap between our sales team and valued customers. You will play a pivotal role in driving innovative mechanical solutions to improve customer's energy efficiency and decarbonisation ambitions that meet and exceed client expectations.

In this role you will;

Guide the sales team with technical acumen in high-stakes meetings and sales processes, including RFPs and renewals.
Identify customer energy and carbon reduction/optimisation opportunities aligned to Genesis' non-energy product offerings.
Develop customer proposals for non-energy products, including commercials and maintaining technical accountability.
Lead the execution of non-energy projects, be it by managing 3rd party delivery partners or in-house led, ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding client expectations.
Act as the link between customers and the product team, providing feedback to enhance our offerings.
Assist with due diligence and assessing RFI/RFP responses from external partners.
Be, or work towards being, the subject matter expert for downstream of the meter process-mechanical engineering.

About you
We are looking for a strategic and technically skilled individual who thrives in a high-pressure environment and is passionate about meeting customer needs.
You will also have;

Sound experience in a process-mechanical engineering role, ideally having utilities experience (boilers, heatpumps, refrigeration, etc.).
Downstream of the meter energy engineering capability, with the ability to identify and quantify energy and carbon reduction initiatives across industrial facilities
Experience in project delivery and sound technical knowledge of energy and utilities technologies in the industrial sector.
Understanding of the energy market Attention to detail and an inquisitive nature to understand and align with customer needs.
