Employment type: Permanent Full time (guaranteed 30 hours / per week, Monday to Sunday rostered hours between 4am and 4pm
Our pay: $29.66-$32.00 per hour depending on personal ability
We are a busy bakery shop based in Wellington.
To enhance our team, we are now looking for 2 Bakers to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for baking, attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team.
Tasks Include:

• Measure and combine ingredients and raw materials using hands/hand tools and other equipment to make doughs for pies, pastry, bread rolls, and other pastry foods.

• Make sweet, savory and special ingredient fillings, sources and toppings.

• Check the quality of the ingredients and the prepared raw materials to make sure quality standard are met

• Set, adjust and monitor oven and other cookware’s temperatures to ensure proper baking and cooking time

• Take out the baked pastry from the forms, trays, unloading, de-panning and cooling the finished products

• Decorate, glaze and adjust the display of the finished products

• Test the finished products to ensure that each item meets food safety and quality requirements

• Clean and restock workstations and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift.

• Check the cleanliness of equipment and operation of machines before each run, to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

To be successful you will need to:

• Have at least three years solid relevant experience, or

at least a relevant level 4 Certificate in bakery, (can be equivalent overseas qualification),
or a bachelor degree in any area.

• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions
• Be physically fit and willingness to work hard
• Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically and effectively
• have "can-do" attitude
