Evening Newsreader - Newstalk ZB

Are you an exceptional, multi-skilled broadcast journalist, able to write, sub and read radio bulletins? Are you a leader who can mentor our team of journalists?
New Zealand’s premier radio network is looking for a Newsreader to deliver evening news nationwide for Newstalk ZB and its affiliated stations.
This crucial role demands a seasoned, skilled, and versatile broadcast journalist.
You will need to be an experienced journalist with a strong news sense and good knowledge of media law.
Your news reading will be impeccable, with the ability to deliver news in an authoritative, compelling and conversational style.
In addition to compiling and delivering bulletins on air, you will need to be able to update your own international news from a variety of sources affiliated to Newstalk ZB, provide leadership to a team of night reporters and be able to work with the wider NZME news team.
You will need to be a team player who has strong news judgement, can work quickly and enjoys the fast pace of the newsroom.
Being a news junkie is key, as you will be leading the Newstalk ZB news team during the evening, mentoring reporters and helping them break stories.
