Excavator Operator

Whangarei

We seek construction plant operators (e.g. excavator) for full-time permanent roles in Whangarei. Our company builds innovative civil construction projects, that sustainably benefit the communities in which we live and work.
These roles are Monday to Friday and are guaranteed a minimum of 40 hours per week. Hours are typically between 7am and 5pm, but may include rostered shifts (including nights depending on project requirements).
We require candidates that hold:
  • At least three years of relevant experience as an excavator operator
  • Must also hold the minimum equivalent of a class one New Zealand drivers licence
Task specifications:
  • Operates heavy excavation plant to excavate, move and load earth, rock and rubble.
  • Competently undertake finishing works
  • Competently operate and ensure mobile plant and equipment is maintained and used in a safe manner.
  • Work in and around services
  • Complete works to agreed productivities and ensure work is carried out to specifications and industry best practice and/or appropriate acts, standards, regulations.
As part of our pre-employment process, the successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol test.
Our wage band is currently $29.66-$40.00 per hour based on experience and attitude.
