Beca
Geotechnical Engineer (Intermediate/Senior)
Auckland
September 19, 2024
We are proudly employee-owned, and after a century of operation, employee ownership remains key to our future. It underpins our positive, purpose-driven, and growth-oriented culture; it sets us apart in our markets and gives meaning to our social contract. We are accountable, we have each other's backs, we don’t let each other down, and we strive for excellence in everything we do.
The Opportunity - Te Kāinga Rua
Our Geotechnical team works across geotechnical engineering, engineering geology and hydrogeology. As a national team of over 130 people, we are excited for the opportunities ahead of us and are well-placed to help Aotearoa advance and protect our world for future generations. Together we make things happen on projects throughout Aotearoa, Australia, the Pacific and South-East Asia. We all go to work to make every day better in some way. We know that our work is more than foundations, ground and water, it's about developing sustainable solutions that support our communities and a healthy environment as well as continuous improvement — by doing things better every day, we make everyday better.
The opportunity is to join our Auckland office as a Geotechnical Engineer and grow your skills and experience as part of a vibrant team. Our work touches all aspects of projects including land development, transport, three waters, and power generation and transmission. In this role, you will plan site investigations, carry out geotechnical design, construction monitoring and project management and be involved throughout all stages of the project lifecycle. You will be able to tap into Beca's technical specialists and multi-disciplined workforce and apply your expertise to get things done. This is a great hands-on role for an organised, motivated individual with a broad base of geotechnical engineering skills and an eye for the bigger picture.
About you-Te Rongoā
You love to learn and share knowledge and are someone who can bring a fresh perspective. You are a Geotechnical Engineer with passion and good problem-solving skills. Having recently completed a graduate programme in a similar consulting or contracting environment, you will also have an enquiring mind, be able to problem-solve and think laterally. How you work is also important to us – we will value your enthusiasm and motivation to continue learning from your peers and more senior team members.
Working amongst a group of highly motivated professionals, you will step into an open and supportive culture that values the skills you contribute to the group.
Our commitment to you – Tō Mātou Manawanui ki a Koe
- Professional development opportunities to grow your career in New Zealand and further afield!
- A supportive and caring work environment where you can bring your whole self to work.
- Flexible working arrangements to balance your personal and family commitments.
