Heavy Diesel Mechanic

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Auckland-based team to service, repair and maintain a wide range of our trucks and fleet vehicles.
NHR Group is a proud 100% New Zealand-owned and operated truck hire and leasing business that is made up of Branches in Albany, Manukau, Pukekohe in Auckland and O’Neill Rentals in Christchurch. We boast one of the biggest fleets of trucks, vans, Minibuses, trailers, Utes, and 4-wheel drives in the country.

We are looking for a proactive mechanical trades professional who is dedicated to providing quality, efficient service and maintenance outcomes with the ability to service multiple brands of heavy Commercial Vehicles.

If you have the following in your toolbox, we would love to hear from you:
  • Heavy Diesel Trade Qualification (preferably with 5 years + heavy diesel experience).
  • Established mechanical capability and technical skills.
  • Excellent diagnostic ability and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to navigate complex issues and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Committed customer-focused mindset.
  • A full class 4 license is preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously, in a small team environment.
  • Physically fit.
