Heavy Truck Driver

Our client is a privately owned company that specialises in cartage of stock feeds, and bulk raw materials from vessels, stores & feed mills to stores and farms throughout New Zealand.
They are looking for enthusiastic heavy truck drivers to join our team, driving our fleet of Tippers/Bulk Trucks across New Zealand, with weekly guaranteed hours at least 40 and $29.66 per hour.

They are looking for enthusiastic heavy truck drivers to join our team, driving our fleet of Tippers/Bulk Trucks across New Zealand, with weekly guaranteed hours at least 40 and $29.66 per hour.
Job duties:
- Maneuver work vehicles to standards set by the company. This includes inspection and driving of work vehicles and physical work to keep the vehicles saf, clean, and tidy and may from time to time be required to lift, sweep/move product, and clean vehicles as required.
- Work vehicles include trucks, trailers, utes, forklifts and loaders.
- Complete minor repairs as required.
- Observance of NZ road rules and associated SOP's and regulations. Adhere to Service Level Agreements and KPI's to get each assigned load completed in full and on time.
- Work on tasks assigned by management/dispatch staff to the best of your ability.
- Comply by the Company Systems & Embrace any new systems that are introduced.
- Secure each load appropriately.
- Promote effective communication.
- Train other drivers as required.
- Build a strong and professional relationships with Clients and Stores.
- Pracrice logical thinking to solve problems as efficiently as possible.
- Any other duties as may reasonable be required to fulfil the aim.

Candidates will preferable posses the following skills and experience:
- The ability to handle various truck configurations.
- Experience driving on rural roads
- Good geographical knowledge throughout the great NI.
- The ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Safe loading &unloading of freight.
- Able to work night shifts and overnight when required.
