ABOUT FABRUM
Fabrum has built a reputation of pioneering world-first technologies in cryogenics and hydrogen solutions, fueled by our exceptional R&D capabilities. Fabrum completed its Series A capital raise in 2023, attracting $23M in investment from high profile global investors. Now, we're leveraging that innovative passion to take our solutions to the world.
Fabrum is headquartered in Christchurch, New Zealand and leads the world in industrialized small to medium scale liquefaction systems and composite cryogenic vessels. The company is actively deploying end to end liquid hydrogen solutions globally across heavy transport, mining and aviation markets. Core competencies include green hydrogen production, storage, dispensing and system integration. Fabrum also has a strong presence in the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) markets of liquid nitrogen (LIN), liquid oxygen (LOX), LNG and Liquid Air (LAIR) with customers ranging from animal husbandry to hi-tech research institutions, manufacturing and defence.
We want to take our clever solutions and develop a better future by helping the world tread lightly.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Instrumentation and Electrical Technician will be part of the Service team, working across Service, Testing, and Commissioning of equipment and installations both at Fabrum's manufacturing facility prior to shipping, and also on-site at client locations.
This role will require a reasonable amount of travel to client site, both in NZ and internationally.
You will have the opportunity to
  • Develop and perform service functions, including maintenance and breakdown troubleshooting
  • Carry out testing and commissioning activities, including for new products, helping to develop processes as we go
  • Help build our systems and documentation to enable scale and efficiency in a continuous improvement environment
  • Work on cutting edge technology including hydrogen, nitrogen, natural gas, and oxygen liquefiers, as well as hydrogen refueling stations.
  • Apply your electrical skills and learn mechanical service, including in hazardous environments
  • Grow through on the job training and external training and certifications

ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Electrician or Electrical Service Technician qualification
  • Solid experience in a service, testing, or commissioning environment for complex industrial machinery / plant
  • Experience with electrical and control systems testing and troubleshooting
  • Ability to travel regularly, in rare cases for periods up to 3-4 weeks

APPLICATION
There's a lot of research which shows that some groups of people are less likely to apply for a role unless they are confident they meet 100% of the requirements. Fabrum is a growing company with a need for diversity of thought and experience. We want talented people who see the future as we do and that's much more important than ticking every box.

Join our growing company and realise your potential to make a real impact. We're searching for passionate individuals eager to contribute their skills and experience.
