Sime Darby Motors NZ is thrilled to announce the opening of our new, state-of-the-art distribution centre at Waterloo Park, Christchurch. This purpose-built hub marks an exciting chapter in our commitment to delivering excellence in the automotive industry. As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Inventory Controller to join our expanding team at this new facility.
Role Overview
As an Inventory Controller, you will play a crucial role in the efficient operation of our South Island distribution centre. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will manage all aspects of inventory control, ensuring all systems are correctly reflecting physical quantities of stock on hand with accurate inventory information.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to

• Perform physical and cyclical stock checks on a regular basis
• Conduct stock rotation, consolidation, and pick-face replenishments
• Make stock adjustments and manage aged stock
• Maintenance of serialised items and bin locations
• Investigate stock variances and conduct inventory reporting and analysis
• Perform other administrative duties as required by the Warehouse Manager

About You
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience of warehousing and distribution principles, and be able to demonstrate:

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics365 (F&O advantageous)
• Strong data entry skills with meticulous attention to detail
• The ability to identify patterns, inventory gaps and make appropriate recommendations
• Problem solving and investigative skills to determine reasons for stock variances
• A self-motivated, can-do attitude and the ability to work effectively within a team
• The capability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• High Reach and Man Up licenses and experience
