Job Description:
We are seeking a Level 1 IT Technical Engineer in Auckland, New Zealand, to support an upcoming IT project. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in IT support and service delivery. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software for end users and ensuring smooth IT operations throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Level 1 technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
Assist with setup, configuration, and deployment of devices and applications as per project requirements.
Perform basic network and server support tasks, including connectivity testing and configuration.
Document and maintain accurate records of all support requests, resolutions, and project progress.
Ensure end-user satisfaction by delivering prompt, professional assistance on all technical issues.
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to ensure successful project completion.
Requirements:
Prior experience in an IT support role, preferably in a Level 1 support or technician position.
Strong understanding of Windows and/or mac OS environments, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking.
Hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting and software installation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
Preferred: Certification in IT (e.g., Comp TIA A+, Microsoft Certified Fundamentals) or equivalent practical experience.
