Junior Automation Engineer

Due to the recent growth and subsequent increase of demand, we are now looking for a Graduate Automation Engineer to join our engineering team based in our Whangarei Head Office. You will work collaboratively with our team of engineers who are well-versed in the latest technologies and methodologies to deliver innovative and efficient automation solutions that optimize operations on a diverse range of projects.

As a graduate automation engineer you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Experience in one or more of a variety of industries, preferably Water, Dairy, Power Generation and Distribution, Petrochemical, Marine and/or Infrastructure is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong understanding of PLC, SCADA, telemetry and HMI programming, communication solutions, and integration with 3rd party software and databases.
- Passionate about the latest available technology in automation and control.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in automation. Particularly AS/NZ3000 Wiring Rules and Regs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. The ability to check the accuracy of your own work.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a wide variety of engineers, technicians, and project managers.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow in the field.
