The Opportunity
Our team are on the hunt for someone eager to dive into the world of Cybersecurity.
As a Junior Security Consultant, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the security of Gallagher products.
Day-to-day, you’ll provide support to our current team of builders and assist them with:

• Performing security assessments
• Assisting with penetration testing
• Helping with threat modelling efforts
• Maintaining policies + standards
• Consulting with teams on feature security reviews

You will also benefit from the collaborative dynamic at #Team Gallagher – engaging with both internal teams and external partners to provide technical support and expertise on cybersecurity matters.

The Fit
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow within the field of cybersecurity. Whether you have academic experience or some exposure to cybersecurity, you’ll need:

• Tertiary qualification in computing or risk management-related studies, or equivalent experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Effective time management and prioritization skills.
• Relationship management skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Entry-level certifications in cybersecurity (CC, Security+, GPEN, Pen Test+, etc.) are desirable.
• Exposure to application security testing, Windows, Linux, and network topologies is desirable.

Above all else, the ideal candidate has a passion for cybersecurity, with a desire to move their career in this direction.
