New Zealand Job Openings
Amisfield
Kitchenhand
FULL TIME
September 4, 2024
Since opening our doors in 2005, Amisfield Restaurant has become an essential destination for all those seeking a revered wine and food experience in Central Otago. As testimony to this, we are proud to again be named the Cuisine Magazine’s Restaurant of the Year for the second year running, Sustainable Vineyard of the Year at the 2023 New Zealand Organic Wine Awards and the RIEDEL Organic Winery of the Year in both 2022 and 2020.
Our lunch & evening menus are a collaboration between a group of passionate chef’s striving to make great food. Their dishes represent the work of a small group of fisherman, hunters, gatherers and farmers. By bringing their products together to epitomize the tastes of Central Otago, we highlight the relationship between the raw produce and the finished product in ways seldom seen. This philosophy plays an important part to a mission of welcoming guests to our restaurant for a dining experience that will excite, challenge, entertain and satisfy like no one else.
About the Role
We are looking to recruit a Kitchenhand to join our innovative, energetic & fun kitchen team. You are a vital part of our operation, assisting the cooks and chefs in preparing the food, washing the dishes and ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic.
About You
We believe our people are our greatest asset. At Amisfield we encourage learning and professional development to help you grow and perform within your career. Skills/attributes you will bring to the table will be:
- Experience in a similar role
- An understanding of commercial kitchens
- Interested in NZ cuisine
- You must be energetic, willing to work hard and learn quickly
- You will be looking for other things that you could do - this can help expand your skills and you could learn some great stuff!
- You will be in New Zealand already or about to arrive as we are keen on an immediate start
- You will need to have NZ citizenship/residency or a valid work permit
When you join the Amisfield team, you will be rewarded with a beautiful place to work and highly competitive pay. And there’s a barrel of additional benefits to working as part of this team – You won’t be fighting the traffic, there’s free parking on-site, healthcare cover and you’ll receive generous staff discounts on our products and services
If you wish to work in this dynamic, challenging and busy environment and have the attributes above, we'd love to hear from you, so don't delay in putting in your application to join our team!
We also own and operate Jack's Point Restaurant in Queenstown so if you would prefer to be considered for a Kitchenhand role at that venue, just let us know!
