About the role
The role involves providing mechanical maintenance support for Extrusions and Crushing Manufacturing. This includes the implementation of planned maintenance activities while also providing valuable feedback on these activities. Collaboration is a key aspect of the role as it requires working closely with the Electrical support team to diagnose and implement solutions. Additionally, it also involves working with the Operating staff in Extrusions to diagnose and implement solutions, ensuring smooth and efficient operation.
What will you do?
  • Ensuring continuous availability of company assets and minimizing downtime through timely preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Providing mechanical expertise to the manufacturing team and engineering support to the manufacturing process.
  • Supporting Maintenance Manager and planner with necessary feedback, failure analysis, and suggested improvements.
  • Contributing to efficient, cost-effective production processes and understanding daily operational needs.
  • Fostering direction and development through technical training support and staying updated on industry developments.
  • Completion of work orders as planned and engineering-related downtime (measured via MEX & DB View).
About you
  • Trade qualified (level 4) Fitting and Turning or equivalent with at least 5 years post apprenticeship experience
  • Computer literacy in MS Office
  • Experience in Analytical Trouble Shooting, Problem Analysis, Root Cause Analysis
  • Ability to work independently
  • Desirable to have Comprehensive knowledge in plastic production, proficiency in CMMS software (preferably MEX), leadership experience, involvement in project work, and certified as an Electrical Service Technician.
