Working hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Payment: $29.66 to $32.00 per hour
What you’ll need to be a successful applicant:
- 3-year work experience in massage/spa or relevant field, or a level 4 or above relevant qualification.
- Good at Natural Remedy.
- Ability to work unsupervised and use your initiative.
- Be focused on growing your clientele.
- Be reliable and determined to learn.
- Good customer service behavior and experience.
- Sound time management skills.
- Physically fit the job and can perform good massage techniques on clients.
Job responsibilities:
- Massaging the soft tissues of the body, such as muscles, tendons and ligaments, to assist healing.
- Utilizing a range of massage techniques to enhance sports performance and prevent injury.
- Administering treatments to promote relaxation, improve circulation and relieve muscle tension.
- Assessing and treating specific soft tissue dysfunction and providing rehabilitation advice.
- Applying other techniques, such as acupressure or shiatsu, and complementary aids, such as wet compresses, ice, essential oils and herbal therapies, to assist recovery.
- Assessing client's physical condition and case history and advising on stretching exercises and relaxation techniques.
- Making sure the working area is clean, and equipment is sterilized to meet hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
- Keeping track of stock level.
