Nail Technician

This role is full-time (minimum 30 hours/ week), overtime shifts are available based on business needs. Applicants must be flexible to work a variety of shifts including late nights, weekends and holiday periods. The job location is in Wellington New Zealand.
The ideal candidate will have
Nail care technical skills

• At least 3 years of relevant work experience in the same industry
• Skills in gel polish manicures and pedicures, acrylic nail extensions and nail arts
• Dipping powder and nail arts design skills
• Good knowledge and use of chemicals for nail treatments
• Follow nail safety protocols, including instrument and equipment sanitation

Customer service attributes

• Strong communication skills and comfortable with one-on-one conversations
• Bringing the heartiest principles to service offerings and sensitive to other cultures
• Be flexible with client requests, be driven with creative thinking

Tasks & responsibilities

• Carrying out manicure and pedicure services
• Analysing nail characteristics and advising on suitable body treatments to clients using good knowledge of specialised treatments and products
• Discussing client needs and performing manicures (buff, shape, and polish clients' nails) and spa pedicure (treat clients' feet and toenails)
• Decorating and designing on clients’ nails (nail art)
• Eyelash & eyebrow tinting, eyelash extension and waxing
• Booking client appointments
• Communicating to reach clients’ needs, ensuring clients’ satisfactions
• End of day records and stocktakes
• Referring clients to health professionals regarding nails diseases and problems
• Building relationships and bringing new clients
• Massaging clients' hands and feet
• Providing advice on beauty care and relevant treatments and product selling
