About the role
Achieving the best health outcomes for our patients starts with expecting the best from ourselves, and right now Health New Zealand is looking for a motivated Nurse Educator to join our Intensive Care Unit at the Whangarei Hospital.
The primary function of this role is to coordinate/facilitate Intensive Care Staff's ongoing education. In this role you will be facilitating and providing unit-based learning programmes. You will act as a role model and mentor providing support and clinical resource.
This is a permanent, part-time 0.6FTE role working 24 hours per week.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current Practicing Certificate
- Post-graduate qualification specialising in ICU
- Minimum of 3 years recent acute intensive care nursing experience
- Ability to communicate effectively
Prior experience in educating and coaching staff is desirable
