Operations Manager – Payment and Cash Operations

ASB Bank is seeking an innovative and dynamic leader to join our Payment and Cash Operations team as an Operations Manager. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence, enhancing customer experience, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within your team.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Develop and implement effective business plans to deliver tangible outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Drive CX-focused change by building end-to-end process knowledge and continuously challenging the status quo.
  • Execute all people-related processes throughout the employee lifecycle and lead a high-performing team.
  • Support the transition towards automation while effectively managing both human and digital capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and bank policies, implementing robust controls and reporting mechanisms.
  • Foster an empowered, customer-centric, and collaborative team culture that values data-driven decision-making.
Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?
  • 2-5 years in a leadership role within banking, financial services, or related fields, with a proven track record of motivating and developing teams.
  • Strong experience in delivering results through methodologies like lean, DMAIC, and agile. Green Belt accreditation is preferred.
  • A deep understanding of financial services products and a commitment to achieving strong customer outcomes.
  • Experience in leading change initiatives and managing complex operations.
  • Knowledge of fraud, AML, and sanctions risk management policies.
