Practice Lead, Software Engineering Practice

As a Practice Lead, you will provide people and technical leadership to our Software Engineering Practice, supporting the Practice Manager with the development and overall success of the practice and its people. Working collaboratively with a team of Software Engineering Practice Leads, you will equip members of the practice with the skills, tools, and common methodologies to consistently deliver value, quality and functional excellence. You will play a key role in embedding the practice model within IST, enhancing MSD's whanau, and fostering a positive experience across IST.

Key accountabilities and deliverables | Takohanga tuhinga o mua

  • Support the Practice Manager in overseeing the practice's overall performance, ensuring consistency and quality of skills and methodology
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager and delivery stakeholders on sourcing and recruitment needs for the practice
  • Provide people and technical leadership
  • Coach and develop direct reports
  • Participate in the delivery of Software Engineering across IST and MSD
About you | Ko wai koe You will bring:
  • Significant professional and technical experience in software engineering, and a strong understanding of relevant processes and tools
  • Proven track record leading and influencing others, improving workforce culture, engagement and ways of working
  • Extensive experience operating in an Agile environment
  • Strong networking skills and well-developed relationships within the technology sector and industry
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate technical and non-technical information

Salary range: $136,420.00 - $169,767.00
