He hiahia, he pūkenga nōu ki te mahi a te Programme Manager ? Nāia te pōwhiri nā Te Whare Wānanga o Waitaha kia tono mai i te tūranga nei.
The University of Canterbury (UC) is undertaking a significant transformational digital journey. Our current Finance and People and Culture (including Payroll) systems are no longer fit for purpose to deliver on our vision. The Enterprise Business Capabilities (EBC) programme is the vehicle for enabling this transformation by replacing ageing and complex Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) toolset with a modern, functionally rich, user centric Software-as-a-Service (Saa S) ERP system. UC aims to deliver a workplace experience that puts staff at the centre of modern digital capabilities, supported by a new business solution that will become the backbone of our corporate services.
Āu Mahi | What You Will Do
As the EBC Programme Manager, you play a crucial role in ensuring the success of the program. You are responsible for maintaining its overall integrity and coherence, which includes delivering outcomes, achieving program products and milestones, meeting budgets, and keeping the program on track. Through an open, engaging, and transparent approach, you accomplish this by:
- Developing and maintaining the programme environment to support each individual project within it
- Effectively co-ordinating the programme's projects and management of their interdependencies including oversight of any risks and issues arising
- Effectively co-ordinating the new capability for the business to enable effective change and realisation of projected benefits.
You will be an accomplished professional (at least 7 - 10 years' experience) with a successful record of programme management experience leading large IT business change programmes. Previous experience with Workday would be advantageous.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Proven leadership skills, including ability to lead change and to lead in a team environment
- Effective vendor and contract management skills
- Ability to influence and build productive relationships at the highest levels of the organisation
- Excellent financial literacy to manage large programme budgets and forecasts
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with an attention to detail
- Having a fantastic personality, with the ability to roll with the punches and keep the team focused
- An understanding of the Higher Education environment is an advantage
- An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
You will be part of our Portfolio Management and Delivery practice, sitting within the wider Digital Services team. While you will work in detail with the Digital, Finance, and People & Culture teams, this role is wide ranging and you will work with people and teams across the University. This is a leadership position, and you will work with people at all levels of the organisation, including Senior Leaders. There is also a large vendor component to this programme, and you will be working with our vendor partners to successfully implement the programme.
