Psychologist/Counsellor (Contractor)

Healthvision is a lead provider of Specialist Homecare, Community Nursing and Rehabilitation services throughout New Zealand.
We are currently seeking expressions of interest from passionate and experienced Psychologists and Counsellors to provide care to our service users through various contracts with ACC and MOH. You will join a multidisciplinary team that provides services across NZ.
We are looking to engage with Psychologists and Counsellors to work in an independent contractor capacity and provide specialist clinical services to people in the community.
Job Location: Auckland
About the role:
As a community-based role, we are seeking someone who will share our passion for supporting kiritaki to remain in their homes and participate in their daily lives in the community. The ideal candidate will possess a dynamic, passionate approach to community care and rehabilitation.
This role requires the completion of community based multidisciplinary rehabilitation programmes such as training for independence programmes for ACC and other contracts such as the ACC ISCC contract.
The available position is highly autonomous with the flexibility to work around your lifestyle. This role will suit someone who thrives on challenges and creative opportunities.

In this role (Job Responsibilities)
- You will be allocated referrals based on your location and cover a geographical area that suits your needs.
- You will have skills to complete assessments, report writing and support planning.
- Enable our kiritaki to live their best lives.
- Work holistically using a philosophy of people helping people and will have a strong local knowledge of the NZ health system.
The ideal candidate will have (candidate Pre -Requisites):
- Most importantly - a passion for helping people in the community.
- Previous experience working in the community
- Experience working with sensitive claims (clients with physical injury or after experiencing sexual abuse) would be an advantage
- Ideally, you will have experience working with complex neurological client groups (SCI/TBI) in the community or have a keen interest in neurological and cognitive rehabilitation.
- You will have the ability to communicate with primary and secondary healthcare
- Preferably have an understanding of community rehabilitation (ACC) services and acuter MOH community contracts.
- Current NZ registration and NZ Annual Practising Certificate
- The ability to work autonomously with a strong solution focus
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Time management and relationship building skills
- Full NZ Driver license
- Must have the right to work legally in NZ
