Mixed Shift Pattern:
2 x days afternoon shift (3.30pm – 11.30pm)
3 x days night shift (11.30pm – 7.00am)
OJI Fibre Solutions is one of New Zealand's leading manufacturers and suppliers of packaging solutions to a wide range of industries throughout the country. Our customers include blue chip manufacturers and marketers of packaging products to the food, primary produce, industrial and grocery sectors. Based at our Corrugated Case business in Mangere Bridge, Auckland.
Responsible for:
- Work with production teams on the floor using root cause analysis and problem-solving methodology to resolve customer complaints/non-conformities and implement the corrective and preventative action plan (CAPA).
- Ensure that defective products (fault or failure in-line) are evaluated, isolated and quarantined.
- Conduct testing, verification, in-line support and coaching, ensuring inspections/tests are being carried out.
- Ideally 1-2 years’ Quality Control experience on the production floor or experienced in a manufacturing environment with ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) certification and understands the principles of quality control.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and relevant quality and food safety international standards (e.g. ISO).
- Enjoy coaching people on the production floor, working through problem solving exercises and process improvement.
- Methodical, attention to detail with strong written & verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated and work well under pressure; team player who is results driven
- Analyse, interpret basic quality control data
- Computer literate
- Solid understanding of health and safety within a manufacturing environment
