Regional Director - Taranaki - Service Delivery

As the Regional Director, you will lead and be accountable for client service delivery, effective operational practice, high performance and achieving outcomes.
You will be responsible for 10 service centres across 8 districts and will lead a trusted and proactive team connecting clients to employment, income and housing support services right for them. You will have a strong focus on achieving equitable outcomes for marginalised population groups.
We take pride in collaborating with Iwi, Māori, Pacific and minority communities, industry, and other government agencies to collectively build meaningful partnerships for better outcomes for clients, communities, business and employers.

As the Regional Director, reporting to the Regional Commissioner, you will:
- Understand the needs of our communities and be driven to achieve the best outcomes for our people.
- Demonstrate a commitment to leading our teams in delivering equitable outcomes for Māori, Pacific, and people experiencing ill health and disability.
- Lead and drive performance across the region, including activating successful implementation of Ministry initiatives.
- Foster a culture of manaakitanga by creating a welcoming and positive environment for whānau and employees, ensuring we provide an exceptional service to our whānau.
- Champion sustainable employment outcomes, initiatives, and practices, while taking the time to celebrate successes (Whakanui).
- Provide guidance, support, and training to develop leadership capability within your teams.
- Foster whakawhanaungatanga by nurturing established relationships with social service agencies, employers, community groups, and industry/providers to deliver integrated services.
- Manage risk and poor performance effectively and as a priority.
- Strive for continuous improvement, always linking our teams back to the 'why' we do things (Hononga) and aiming for operational excellence.
- A commitment to Māori, Pacific, and other diverse communities
- A desire to support individuals experiencing ill health and disability in their journey towards employment
- An understanding of the Government's obligations to Māori as a treaty partner
- Strategic thinking, planning, and analysis skills to drive informed decision-making
- Leadership, management, and planning experience in integrated service delivery operations
- Experience managing diverse people across multiple locations
- Strong stakeholder management skills with diverse groups
- Experience working collaboratively with community and industry groups
- An understanding of and ability to navigate the complexities of public sector issues
- Strong focus and drive to achieve employment outcomes for our clients.

Salary range: $134,852.00 - $199,786.00
