Regional Health Advisor, Southern Region - Permanent
Full time, Permanent position
Location: This role will be based full-time at our Te Kāika Service Centre, Caversham Dunedin or in our Southern Regional office.

What you'll be doing | He aha tāu e mahi ana
The Regional Health Advisor (RHA) role is responsible for providing MSD links to health and disability sector and the community and providing expert advice and knowledge to support clients with health-related issues, injury or disability to participate meaningfully in society.
Supporting MSD staff (in particular Case Managers) throughout the region with a network of information, advice and support on matters relating to health and the impact these may have on employment. The RHA works closely with Case Managers to determine how they can assist MSD clients to reach their employment goals and what services may be available to help them achieve this. Face to face engagement with our staff is a vital part of the RHA role. Due to the geographical spread of the Southern region, this role will also involve travel to the 10 sites across our region.

What you'll need to succeed | Ko ngā mea ka hiahiatia e koe kia angitū
Communication skills will be paramount for the role, along with the ability to build rapport, contribute and work collaboratively with front-line service delivery staff. The ability to work independently and achieve goals will also be critical. The role champions health awareness and issues within Work and Income front-line offices and the region.

Skills and Experiences I He pūkenga tōu
To be successful in this role, you will also be/have:
  • current registered health practitioner (e.g. occupational therapist, nurse, physiotherapist,)
  • collaborative approach with strong relationship management skills
  • excellent communication skills, including confidence in facilitating group presentations
  • well networked in the health and disability sector
  • experience in a rehabilitation or employment focus preferred
  • ability to gather and analyse data to make evidence-based recommendations essential.
You are required to have a full and clear New Zealand driver's licence.

Salary range: $102,533.00 - $124,402.00
