The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi

This is a part-time permanent position working 20 hours per week (days negotiable), based in Thames.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse who can support our Tangata Whaiora and Kaimahi with improving the physical health outcomes for the people we care for. The role will have a specific focus on education, diet and nutrition and physical health checks.


You | Mōu

  • Minimum of 2 years Nursing experience.
  • A current New Zealand Health registration in Nursing.
  • You must hold a current full New Zealand driver's licence.
  • Knowledge, skills and experience in developing care plans, risk management plans, supporting other Registered Health Professional and working with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • An understanding of trauma-informed care and experience in working with people.
  • Both de-escalation skills and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing environment.
  • You must hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one.
  • An understanding and commitment to the principles of recovery.
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
