Rosters and Payroll Coordinator

This is your chance to play a crucial role in ensuring our service operations run smoothly while advancing your career in a dynamic environment.
About the Role: We’re looking for the right person to complete depot-based payroll tasks, manage and coordinate rosters and duties in line with service design requirements, and support revenue and insurance management at our Dunedin depot. If you have administrative and payroll experience, have knowledge of operational rostering, and thrive under pressure, this is the perfect opportunity for you. We offer a permanent full -time role with plenty of variety and the potential for career growth
Key responsibilities:
- Roster Planning: Design, publish, and manage rosters; oversee leave plans and staff training; review labor use; manage leave.
- Payroll Support: Complete payroll on time, optimize rosters, and recommend operational improvements.
- Reporting: Generate and analyze efficiency reports; produce management packs; conduct ad hoc analyses.
- Systems Expertise: Maintain master data, enhance systems, and provide support.
- Tendering: Identify resource needs and suggest optimizations.
- Health & Safety: Ensure a safe work environment and compliance with H&S policies.
- Corporate Contribution: Promote excellence, suggest process improvements, and collaborate with management.
To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:
- Minimum 2 years in admin and payroll roles.
- Relevant payroll/admin experience; P endorsement, Class 2 Licence (Desirable); rostering/ supervisory experience.
- Experience: Workforce design, reporting tools, fast-paced environments, operational/financial literacy.
- Skills: Customer service, planning, communication, adaptability, analysis, and project management.
Requirements: Applicants must have permanent residency or a valid visa to work in New Zealand. A Drug & Alcohol and Ministry of Justice check will be required.
